Common questions
How much does professional house painting cost?
Cost depends on square footage, surface condition, how much prep and repair is required, the number of coats, and the products chosen. Rather than quote a number that does not fit your home, we inspect the space and give you a written proposal based on your actual project. Estimates are free.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. We come out, inspect the work, discuss your goals, and give you a written scope at no cost. We aim to provide pricing during the appointment when the scope allows.
What is included in your painting estimate?
The written scope covers the surfaces to be painted, the preparation we will perform, the products and finish specified, and the price. Anything excluded is stated rather than left to assumption.
How do you prepare surfaces before painting?
Preparation depends on the surface. Interior work typically involves patching, sanding, caulking gaps, masking, floor protection, and priming bare or repaired areas. Exterior work adds washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, and spot priming.
What paint products do you use?
We select products matched to the surface and the conditions. Specific manufacturer and product lines are listed in your written proposal so you know exactly what is being applied.
How long does an interior painting project take?
Timeline depends on the number of rooms, ceiling height, the condition of the walls, and how much repair is needed, plus drying and cure time between coats. We give an expected schedule in your proposal rather than a guess over the phone.
Do you repair drywall before painting?
Yes. Patching, taping, mudding, and sanding are part of the preparation we handle so the finish coat has a sound, even surface. Larger repairs are quoted as part of the scope.
Do you offer cabinet refinishing?
Yes. Cabinet refinishing involves cleaning and degreasing, sanding, priming, and a durable finish system, and it is a different process from painting walls.
Do you provide a workmanship warranty?
Yes. Workmanship is backed by a three-year warranty subject to our written warranty terms. Please review the warranty page for the current terms and exclusions.
